and a pair of fringe boots to feel like a Native American Indianan!
Native
American Influences in fashion are very strong but this tendency has never
been accepted with great enthusiasm by the indigenous communities. It’s not a
crime to wear these fashion items but it is important to recognize when cultural
appropriation occurs and that some of the Native apparel commodities don’t just
have cultural significance but also spiritual significance in Native American
communities. Therefore, we want to underline that we just take inspiration to
these people apparels with all the respect that they deserve!!!!
A particular attention goes to the skirt with the reindeers,
the iconic skirt by Kamikaze. I have chosen this one because it is perfectly in
theme with Christmas but many are the
skirts they produce with different colours, patterns and materials: all of them
are very nice indeed!
Un poncho e un paio di stivali con frange per sentirsi come un'Indiana d'America! Le influenze dei nativi americani nella moda sono da sempre molto forti, ma questa tendenza non è mai stata accettata con grande entusiasmo da parte delle comunità indigene. Non è certo un crimine indossare questi capi, ma è importante riconoscere quando si parla un'appropriazione culturale e che alcuni dei prodotti di abbigliamento dei nativi non solo hanno un significato culturale, ma anche un significato spirituale nella comunità native americane. Quindi ci teniamo a sottolineare che nella scelta del nostro outfit abbiamo preso spunto dall'abbigliamento di questa gente con tutto il rispetto che meritano!!
Una particolare attenzione va alla gonna con le renne, la gonna iconica di Kamikaze. Abbiamo scelto questo modello perché è perfettamente in tema con il Natale, ma molte sono le gonne che producono con diversi colori, modelli e materiali: sono davvero tutte molto belle!
