ON THE BALCONY

It was a very pleasant evening spent together wonderful women at Alice's. Alice is a new friend of Lady Cipria, she repairs furniture using a special technique called Shabby Chic: it is a form of interior design where furniture are either chosen for their appearance of age and signs of wear and tear or where new items are distressed to achive the appearance of an antique. Alice invited us to have a look to her wonderful house in the centre of Padua, where the style Shabby Chic is everywhere. I enjoyed to spend the time on the balcony, chattering with my friends, tasting my favourite champagne and reading a book very interesting, starting from the title: "I want to live my own way" :))

E' stata una serata molto piacevole quella passata a casa di Alice insieme a donne meravigliose. Alice è una nuova amica di Lady Cipria, è una restauratrice di mobili e usa una tecnica particolare chiamata Shabby Chic: una forma di arredamento per interni, dove i mobili hanno un allure di vissuto, di antico, sia che si tratti di mobili nuovi, in questo caso particolari interventi li renderanno tali, sia che si tratti di mobili antichi riportandoli a tutto il loro splendore. Alice ci ha invitate per sbirciare la sua casa stupenda, nel centro di Padova, dove regna lo stile da lei molto amato, lo Shabby Chic, per l'appunto. Mi sono rilassata e ho passato gran parte del tempo a conversare nel terrazzino, sorseggiando il mio champagne preferito e leggendo alcuni passi di un libro molto interessante, iniziando già dal titolo: "Voglio vivere a modo mio". :))
